There is a small temple hidden in the center of Kota Kinabalu. It is said to be quite spiritual.

After visiting the Floating Mosque in Kota Kinabalu with my friends, I wandered around the area and accidentally discovered this beautiful temple - Sabah Putuo Temple Tianwang Hall Putuo Temple. The temple is about 1 km away from the floating mosque. The temple is full of flowers and plants, and the colors of the paintings of gods on the walls are extremely bright. Compared with many temples, there is a hint of spirituality in the solemnity, as if it is the love and compassion of gods and Buddhas for the world. A giant statue of Guanyin Bodhisattva is enshrined outside the temple. There were several female masters chanting in the main hall. I sat outside the hall and listened for a while and felt an unexpected tranquility. The temple also provides many free Buddhist books for reading. It is really a thoughtful temple!
