I visited the Koshimizu Primeval Flower Garden!!

Koshimizu Primeval Flower Garden (Koshimizu Gensei Kaen) is a nature-rich flower garden located along the Sea of Okhotsk in eastern Hokkaido, spanning across Shari Town and Koshimizu Town. The vast area stretches about 8 km and is particularly captivating in the summer when a variety of wildflowers bloom in vibrant colors, attracting many tourists. Main Features Seasonal Flowers: From early summer to autumn, you can see about 40 types of wildflowers, including Ezo-sukashiyuri, Hamanasu, and Ezo-kisuge. Between the Sea of Okhotsk and Lake Tofutsu: The garden is nestled between the Sea of Okhotsk and Lake Tofutsu, where you can observe a diverse range of bird species, especially around Lake Tofutsu. Gensei Flower Garden Station: The Gensei Flower Garden Station on the JR Senmo Main Line is located right next to the garden and is a temporary station available only during the tourist season. Walking Paths and Observation Decks: The garden has well-maintained walking paths where you can freely stroll and enjoy nature. There are also observation decks offering panoramic views of the entire garden and the Sea of Okhotsk. Access By Car: About 30 minutes from Abashiri City, about 40 minutes from Shiretoko Shari Town. By Train: A short walk from JR Senmo Main Line's Gensei Flower Garden Station. Best Season The best time to see the flowers is from June to August, attracting the most tourists.
