Exotic Island in the East of Thailand 🏝️

Now that the pandemic has cooled down and the strict requirement of presenting an ATK result has been canceled, many travellers will choose Ko Samet or Samet Island as their weekend getaway again. This island is actually a part of Rayong province not far from the well-known city of Pattaya. It's around 2 hours and 45 minutes drive from Bangkok. I usually go to Nuanthip Pier at Baan Phe to get a ferry ride to the island. A round trip ticket will cost you 120 baht for the slow boat. But you can choose to go on a shared speed boat ride for 300 baht. This island has many cool night clubs, but the most popular one should be the iconic Silver Sand Bar at Ao Phai.
