[Arima] Lady Nene and Toyotomi Hideyoshi

Two statues stand on opposite sides of the Arima River. The statue facing the station is of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and directly in front of him is that of his wife, Nene. Nene Bridge was built in 1996, and the Nene statue was erected the following year. Arima Onsen was a beloved hot spring resort, and it was commissioned to honor Hideyoshi's dedication to the restoration and reconstruction of Arima. While strolling through the hot springs town, you'll often see the names of the two, such as the site of Nene's villa and Taiko no Yu. Arima Onsen is also a great place for historical exploration.
