#Overseas Hotel This is a place where there is no public transportation and no shuttle service. It is located in a hotel-only area deep in the mountains. There is nothing around. I looked up transportation before making a reservation, and it was about 10 kilometers from the nearest Kirishima Jingu Station, so it would take about 15 to 20 minutes by taxi. I made an appointment to arrive by 6 PM, the check-in deadline, by taxi and made the reservation. I arrived at the station around 5:30 PM that day, but there was no taxi. I searched for a taxi company and called them, but they said it was too far and they were all out at the moment, so it was difficult to use. It was a mental breakdown. I saw the Kagoshima Tourism Organization number, so I went there. I talked to the staff for about 10 minutes and gave them my number, but they failed because they thought 9 was 10. (Refer to the review for the second day) The hotel main number went to the answering machine.ㅜㅜ After searching the official website diligently, I found a number that would answer after 8 PM, and after calling that number and confirming the guest's name, the hotel would call a taxi. The taxi number matched the number that the tourism office employee had called me, except for the 10 and 9 notations.ㅋ After going through a lot of episodes, I started checking in at the hotel at 6:45 PM. When the taxi arrived, an employee came out to greet me and guided me to my room, and then I checked in inside my room. I made reservations for breakfast and dinner and received instructions on how to use the hotel. When I opened the door and went in, the sky was cloudy, but the wide-open view and the sunset were incredibly beautiful. It was more beautiful and magnificent than what I saw in the pictures. Because I checked in late, I participated in the kaiseki dinner at 7:30 PM. I chose between 5:30 PM and 7:30 PM for dinner. Dinner is composed of two types. The basic plan is Kagoshima black pork shabu-shabu as the main, and additionally, there is beef shabu-shabu and a double set. You can choose a pairing of Kagoshima Prefecture Nihonshu & Sochu for the main course. I choose the pairing consisting of 1 cup of nama and 6 kinds. They explain the dishes as they come out, and they even guide you on how to eat them and the paired alcohol. There is a lot of alcohol, so you get drunk while eating. Dinner lasted about 90 minutes, and there is a traditional performance in the lounge starting at 9:15 PM, so they tell you around 9:00 PM. We finish with dessert. It was a refreshing dinner because sashimi and tempura were good, shabu-shabu was light, and you could make onsoba in the soup. I watched the performance with the guests. It was an exciting time. When I went outside, the stars started to fall in the night sky. I had a chat with the old couple and had tea. There is also a terrace with a view, so you can lie down on a comfortable chair there and spend time in harmony with nature. After returning to the room, I close my eyes for a moment and then get up to take a slope car to the hot spring. The hotel building and the hot spring are separated in different places. The 3rd floor of the 5-story building is the front desk, the 2nd floor is the restaurant, and the connecting passage from the 1st floor leads to the slope car stop. It is an unmanned elevator that moves on its own, so you can use it by pressing a button. If you go down for about 5 minutes, you will see the hot spring stop connected to the hot spring lounge. The hot spring lounge is equipped with drinks and ice cream, as well as chairs and tables. There is also a terrace space wrapped in a hoo-ring outside. From the lounge, you walk along a wooden path that leads to the hot spring building. Since it is outdoors, there are also umbrellas. These hidden devices here and there are nice and Japanese. The hot spring is divided exactly half and half for men and women under one roof, and consists of two baths and one open-air bath. There is no separate family bath, and depending on the room type, the bathtub in the room seems to be the hot spring water. The open-air bath is a very open place that makes you feel like you are bathing alone in the forest. The sound of birds, the sound of the wind, the smell of grass, and the smell of trees all come together. I wake up at 5 am. The weather is cloudy, but the air is very refreshing. The hot spring is not effective if you stay for more than 10 minutes, so I use it for 10 minutes the night before and 10 minutes in the morning. I have breakfast quickly at 7:30 am. I take the 8:30 am train to finish my schedule. It starts to rain heavily. It is a day when the forecast calls for about 100 mm of rain. Breakfast and dinner are all in the same place. All restaurants are in separate rooms, so you can eat individually. I go alone and use a table for 2-4 people for both days. Breakfast is also served as a set meal. The torijiru with native chicken is good for hangover relief. The side dishes are all satisfying. I took the taxi I had reserved for 8 o'clock when I checked in and headed to the station. It's a pity that this is a ryokan where you have to pay a round-trip taxi fee of 6,000 yen for a backpacker since there is no shuttle service, but I stayed there for about 13 hours and had a good rest.
