Wujian Academy

Wujian Academy is located in the bustling area of Zhupu North Road in Jincheng Township, right next to Zhongzheng Elementary School. Built in the 45th year of Emperor Qianlong's reign during the Qing Dynasty (1780), the academy features a central courtyard with a lecture hall and a rear section housing the Zhuzi Shrine. The Wujian Academy and Zhuzi Shrine form an integrated architectural complex with three sections: the front ceremonial gate, the shrine, and a pavilion for honoring written characters at the rear. This layout creates a spatial organization along a vertical axis. Additionally, there are 16 dormitory rooms on both sides, surrounded by high walls, giving the site a harmonious and majestic appearance. Designated as a national historic site, visitors typically spend about 30 minutes here, making it a great spot for taking photos.
