The Bua Tong Flower Field at Doi Mae U-Kho: A Once-a-Year Spectacle

Located in Mae U-Kho Subdistrict, Khun Yuam District, Mae Hong Son Province, the arrival of winter marks the time to witness the beautiful Bua Tong flower field at Doi Mae U-Kho. Spanning over 500 rai and situated at an elevation of approximately 1,600 meters, the area is surrounded by complex mountain ranges. You can see the Bua Tong flowers from the beginning of the ascent all the way to the viewpoint, which is considered the largest Bua Tong flower field in Thailand. Importantly, this spectacle is available only once a year. If you plan to visit the Bua Tong flowers, it is recommended to prepare in advance. These beautiful flowers bloom across the valley only during November to December, and the blooming period is quite limited, lasting only a few weeks. Additionally, for those who wish to go camping, there are various facilities available, including tent areas, restrooms, showers, and parking lots.
