#Thao Suranaree Park, Nakhon Ratchasima Province Thao Suranaree Park is a public park on the Mittraphap Road, Bangkok-Korat route, next to Lam Takong Reservoir. Inside the park, there is a monument to Thao Suranaree or Ya Mo, a hero of Korat, for us to pay homage to. Inside is a shady park with a relaxation area, suitable for stopping to rest, use the restroom, and find a snack before continuing the journey. It was built according to the royal initiative of King Rama IX and Khun Dan PrakanChon Dam is also the longest compacted concrete dam in Thailand and the world. As for the name Khun Dan PrakanChon Dam, it comes from the name of Khun Han Phithak Phraiwan or Khun Dan to honor the heroes of Nakhon Nayok during the Ayutthaya period. With a length of 2,658 meters and a height of 92 meters, it receives water flowing from Khao Yai National Park through Haew Narok Waterfall into a reservoir with a capacity of up to 224 million cubic meters. This makes this place a tourist attraction in Nakhon Nayok because you can see Khao Yai National Park from the dam crest. The interior is decorated with various flowers and ornamental plants. Within the area of 1,400 rai, there is a stream flowing from the alleys through small and large rocks, suitable for swimming. It is formed by the merging of two streams, one called Khlong Madeua from Huai Kratin Waterfall and the other called Khlong Takhian from Mae Plong Waterfall. These two streams converge into one stream. There are pools of water, which are ponds in sections, flowing into the Nakhon Nayok River. There are also lemongrass trees, such as Namtakrai Hangnak, which is an aquatic plant that likes to grow in streams and streams in general. It is a very tough tree with black stems and cute pink flowers. Inside this park, the flowers bloom against the blue sky, creating a beautiful view in every season, especially in the rainy season. It is a waterfall flowing through small and large rocky crevices and green forests, giving a green and refreshing feeling. Many people may have visited the dam many times, but may not know that behind the dam, there is a hidden wonder of nature. This kind of atmosphere does not require traveling all the way to the North or South. Just come to Nakhon Nayok and you will find it. 👍👍 Traveling to Chong Lom Waterfall is very easy. Just head straight to Khun Dan Dam, then contact the center that provides boat trips, which is located in the parking lot. It is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The service fee is 1,500 baht for 1-7 people, 200 baht per person for 8 or more people. If you come alone or in a small group, wait at the pavilion for a while. There will be friends who have the same destination to help share until the boat is full. Or if anyone wants to charter the whole boat, you can do so.
