The Path to the Caucasus Mountains, Georgia

The journey to the Caucasus Mountains, leading to the town of Kazbegi, is a high mountain range that serves as a natural barrier dividing the continents of Europe and Asia. It spans across four countries: Russia, Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan. This route was also part of the historic Silk Road. In Kazbegi, a small town with Mount Kazbegi, one of the peaks in the Caucasus Mountains, you can enjoy the breathtaking natural scenery of the mountains, with vast meadows stretching as far as the eye can see and fresh air at the summit. Additionally, the Gergeti Trinity Church, which has almost become an iconic symbol of Georgia, is located there. Along the way, you can visit the Jinvali Reservoir, Ananuri Fortress, the Russia-Georgia Friendship Monument, Gudauri, and Kazbegi. This route is incredibly beautiful with numerous photo spots. It is highly recommended to visit during autumn or spring for the best experience, but other seasons are also pleasant and not too hot.
