[Coffee Shop Tour] Kanagawa Shin-Maruko Coffee Shop Marimo - A beloved shop that is also famous as a filming location

I went to the coffee shop "Marimo" which is a short walk from Shin-Maruko Station on the Tokyu Toyoko Line along Tsunashima Kaido. There is a glass shelf next to the entrance where you can see the food sample menu. Just seeing this makes me excited even before entering the store. I entered the store and sat down on a leather sofa seat guided by a staff member. ・Neapolitan (¥750) ・Cream Soda (¥500) ・Pink Lemonade (¥400) ・Pudding Royal (¥700) A few minutes after ordering, the entire table was transformed into a cute retro space. From 11:00 to 15:00, you can add a drink to your food menu for an additional ¥50. I like to go around coffee shops and often stop by when I go out, but I can't stop being excited by the hearty and jiggly pudding parfait 🤍 I wonder if it falls into the category of a firm retro pudding? The caramel was just the right amount of bitter and very delicious. I think that most coffee shop meals are small, but the Neapolitan here is more filling than I expected. It looks simple, but the sweet sauce whets the appetite. The complimentary toast is also crispy and chewy 🤤 I wondered if I was being greedy, but I didn't regret it, and my sister and I ate it all in no time. It has also been used as a location for many dramas, such as "Your Turn to Kill," "Tokyo Tarareba Girls," "Osameda Towako and Her Three Ex-Husbands," "Rikokatsu," and "Hanchou." I thought that there would be a lot of young people, but the customer base was mostly middle-aged people and office workers who seemed to be locals. Payment is cash only. (As of 2022) On the back of the receipt, the origin of the store's name and the wishes that were put into it were written. I hope that this store will continue to live in Shinmaruko for a long time, like the plant Marimo.
