Lotus Pond Lantern Festival

Lotus Pond Lantern Festival is an annual highlight in Zuoying District, Kaohsiung City, held during the Lantern Festival. It combines traditional lantern culture with modern light and shadow art, attracting numerous visitors to enjoy the displays. In 2025, the main lantern will be set up at Longtan Lake, with the festival running from February 7 to 23. A light show will take place daily from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM between February 12 and 23. During the event, landmarks around Lotus Pond, such as the Dragon and Tiger Pagodas, Spring and Autumn Pavilions, and Wuli Pavilion, will feature light installations and projection shows, creating a romantic atmosphere. Additionally, there will be various performances, folk activities, and markets on-site, making it a perfect event for the whole family to enjoy together. It is recommended to take the Kaohsiung MRT to Zuoying Station, from where it is about a 10-minute walk to Lotus Pond.
