Kaohsiung, an artistic port city

Kaohsiung is a city in the southernmost part of Taiwan. You can take the THSR from Taoyuan or Taipei Main Station to get off. It is a port city full of museums, theaters, performance stages and art. You can see the city by bus and light rail. The light rail is 10 twd for the whole line. You can use the Easy Card to tap and take a ferry to walk on the island at Gushan ferry pier.
