The biggest advantage of self-driving is that you can choose the time and the place you want to stay without rushing the itinerary. The air by the lake has a distinct salty smell, which will be a little heavier in summer; looking around, there are almost no artificial buildings, only the sky and distant mountains reflected by the lake, which is very visually shocking. Walking on the salt land, there will be a slight "clicking" sound under your feet, which is very interesting and suitable for taking pictures. The most recommended time is dusk: when the setting sun shines on the salt lake, the lake water will turn into a soft golden or pink color, looking like a mirror; if you are lucky enough to encounter a calm sea, the reflection will be even more beautiful.
