[Solo female travel in Sri Lanka] Less than half the price of buying it in Japan! Dilmah tea specialty shop in Kandy!

There are so many flavors to choose from, it's hard to decide! We'll introduce you to a popular store where you can buy Mlesna Tea, which is popular in Japan, at a super low price! ☕️Review The first floor is a tea shop, and the second floor is a tea cafe. This is a genuine Mlesna Tea store. In Japan, Mlesna Tea is sold in a spiritual package, but when you buy it in Sri Lanka, it looks normal. The selection is good and recommended. The flavored teas, which can be purchased for 300 srp per box, are perfect for souvenirs! After some hesitation, I bought vanilla tea, pineapple tea, ice wine tea, caramel tea, etc., and they were all delicious! I especially recommend the vanilla tea 🫖 The cafe on the second floor has a more rustic and local feel than the Dilmah cafe in Colombo. The prices are cheaper, but the cakes taste British, so to be honest, it might not be that good for Japanese people. (Although the portions are large) Of course, the tea is delicious, but unlike the first floor store, the staff on the second floor are not as friendly 😂 If you're just looking to drink tea, it's cheap and makes a great souvenir, so I think it's fine! Personally, I love the first floor store, so I went to the third floor during my stay! All the products are cheap, and I even bought a hat as a souvenir lol If you like tea, please go there 🫶 📍Location: Mlesna Tea Centre, 15 Sri Dalada Veediya, Kandy 20000 Sri Lanka #Traveling Abroad Strategy

Jetwing Kandy Gallery, A Luxury Reserve

Exploring Kandy & Matale: where luxury, jungle vibes, and epic ancient sites collide 🇱🇰✨ Sri Lanka is wildly welcoming and packs a punch for adventurers, foodies, and anyone craving riverfront peace. Top Spots to Visit: Jetwing Kandy Gallery, A Luxury Reserve (De Soysa Estate Gonawatta Maligathanne, Kandy): This hotel is a true sanctuary with gorgeously modern rooms (balcony views = morning goals!), a stellar pool, tranquil spa, and the Mahaweli River right at your doorstep. Food here is next-level: both Sri Lankan and Western dishes, beautifully plated—don’t skip their traditional breakfast if you want a real taste of Sri Lanka. Sigiriya Palace (Sigiriya, Sri Lanka): Don’t miss climbing this breathtaking ancient fortress. Get there early to beat the crowds and heat, plus the sunrise views from the top are totally worth the effort. Preaching Rock | Sigiriya (XQ55+7CG, Sigiriya): Less busy than the main palace, hike to this spot for sweeping sights of the jungle and the iconic rock. Wear grippy shoes—paths can get slippery after rain! Getting Around: Hire a local driver for max flexibility and easy day trips between Kandy and Matale—it’s affordable, safe, and saves stress vs. public transport. Tuk-tuks work for short distances but agree on your fare up front. Food Rec: Jetwing’s restaurant is a must-try and great for mixing local and global tastes. Elsewhere, ask for “rice & curry” at any small eatery for an authentic meal. Extra Tips: Sri Lanka weather changes quickly—pack a rain jacket and lightweight clothes. Cash is king in remote areas; ATMs are easy to find in big towns. Most visitors get Sri Lanka’s ETA visa online in minutes. #SigiriyaViews #SriLankaLuxury #TravelSriLanka #JetwingKandy #CulturalTrail
