Khao Pun Cave Temple

Wat Tham Khao Pun, Kanchanaburi Province It is an ancient temple. During the reign of King Rama V, he visited Tham Khao Pun and rappelled his body through the top of the cave to perform a ceremony to pay homage to the reclining Buddha. Currently, the villagers believe that if anyone stands under the chimney, they will receive energy from the light coming down through the chimney. Tham Khao Pun has a total of 9 rooms. 🙏 The reclining Buddha room or the sleeping Buddha is the first room you see when entering the cave. There is a large reclining Buddha statue. 🙏 The Ja-eh room is a room connected to other rooms. There are many statues of gods and goddesses in this room. 🙏 The cane room has a crystal cement rod shaped like a hermit's cane supporting the ceiling of the cave in the middle. 🙏 The Sai Yoi room has banyan tree roots extending all over the ceiling. 🙏 The Crocodile room has a limestone rock in the shape of a crocodile in the pond found in the middle of the room, but the crocodile rock has been stolen. 🙏 The Father Rishi room has a statue of Father Rishi sitting and chanting in this room. In front of the room is a low stone pole. Wrapped in a leopard-print blanket 🙏Thep Nimit Room There are many Buddha images in this room. 🙏The Glass Room is on the same side as Thep Nimit Room.
