⛰️ Hellfire Pass, a historical railway route that was a nightmare for many people was built to send Japanese troops into Burma where the Japanese military recruited prisoners of war to be laborers to drill the mountain to clear the route which at that time there were no modern tools so most of the drilling was done by manual labor hammers and various stone breaker tools were used . 🗻 And drilling the route that had to go through the entire mountain made the prisoners of war who were recruited as laborers have to work hard for up to 18 hours a day some parts of the labor had to climb down to drill the mountain which was 11 meters high, almost no air to breathe even at night the prisoners of war had to work using torches to provide light causing the walls to reflect the shadows of the prisoners of war and the guards making this place nicknamed "Hellfire Pass" 🔥 . 🥰 Anyone who visits Kanchanaburi and loves the history of World War II can stop by here.
