Ishiura Shrine is located in Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture. This place is near Kenrokuen, one of the three great gardens in Japan, and the Kanazawa 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, a must-see tourist spot on any trip to Kanazawa. It is a power spot famous for its luck in matchmaking, and its history goes back to the Kofun period, making it known as the oldest shrine in Kanazawa. The first thing you'll notice when you enter the shrine grounds is the stately worship hall. The detailed wood carvings are also preserved in a delicate and elegant form, and a large piece of driftwood was placed right next to the worship hall. Also, unlike other shrines, the fortune-telling slips at Ishiura Shrine have a total of 17 levels of fortune listed!
