❤︎ ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ ❁ ❁ ❁ ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ Ikusu Shrine/Ibaraki Prefecture ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ ❁ ❁ ❁ ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ Hello 😃 20,000 steps a day 🐾 I'm 🚶♀️silver, who walks around the country visiting shrines ❣️ Ikusu Shrine in Kamisu City, Ibaraki Prefecture 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃 This shrine is one of the three major shrines in the eastern part of Japan. The other two are Kashima Shrine (Ibaraki Prefecture) and Katori Shrine (Chiba Prefecture)! The main deity is Kunado-no-kami, and Ame-no-torifune-no-kami and the three Sumiyoshi deities are enshrined in the side shrine. Ame-no-torifune-no-kami is said to be the deity who led Takemikazuchi-no-Okami (Kashima Shrine) and Futsunushi-no-Okami (Katori Shrine) when they went to negotiate the transfer of the country. Also, if you turn your back to the second torii gate ⛩, you will see the first torii gate, and on both sides of it there is a well called "Oshioi"! There is a small torii gate and a medium-sized torii gate, and each well has a well, and if you look into the bottom of the water, you can faintly see two jars. These bottles are called "Ogame" and "Megame," and are said to have been gushing forth pure water for over 1,000 years. The first torii gate is also the entrance to Kashima Shrine and is located on the south side. The grounds are characterized by the couple of cedar trees that are over 1,000 years old, the green "Goiko" cherry blossoms, the Miyazakura cherry blossoms, and the Ogatama tree, which is featured on the 1 yen coin.
