Bronze Buddha statue

Kamakura Buddha Kōtoku-in Address: 4 Chome-2-28 Hase, Kamakura, Kanagawa 248-0016, Japan One of the must go shrines in Kamakura. The shrine has a huge bronze statue of Buddha in a seating mediation position. You will need to buy an entrance ticket to enter. There is a public bus stop right outside the shrine and it is very easy to get here. There are many souvenir shops outside the shrine too. You can even buy ice cream in the shape of the Buddha too. I am unclear of the symbolic meaning of Buddha here since they have replicated the designs into their ice cream. It is not meant to be an offence so please do not take it to heart if you are offended. After entering the shrine, it will take about 10 minutes of walking before you can see the huge bronze statue.
