Kamakura Bunkakan Tsurugaoka Museum

#thingstodo This is a small art museum close to the shrine .The building is modern in design and beautifully landscaped giving it a very peaceful atmosphere only a few yards away from the crowds visiting the main attractions . The special exhibition while we were there dealt with the Samurai culture and local history that resulted in the shrines being established in this area.There is also a restaurant in the grounds featuring a very large trunk of an ancient tree that was only recently destroyed by a natural disaster. The stump of the tree is showing signs of life putting out new shoots near the stairway up to the main shrine.
