Yakushima has nature that even people who think that Jomon Cedar is quite difficult and tough can experience. There are many places that are relatively easy to access, such as Shiratani Unsuikyo Gorge, which is said to be the model for the setting of Princess Mononoke, and the majestic Chihiro Falls. This photo was taken during a trek to Jomon Cedar, deep in Yakushima, a registered World Heritage Site. There isn't much elevation change to call it a trek, but since it's a long walk, we get ready before dawn and set off at sunrise. The rich and precious nature and various scenery along the way are thrilling. It's a very difficult journey, but it's worth the effort. #RemoteIslandTrip #AmazingView #Yakushima #AmazingView
