Happy Yamagata Restaurant

On the seventh floor of the Yamagata-ya department store in Kagoshima, there is a century-old public restaurant that opened in 1916. In the early days, it was operated as a family restaurant. This restaurant was reborn as the Yamagata-ya Shokudo in July 2015. It has a traditional historical flavor, and part of the store still retains its original appearance in the 1950s. Yamagataya's specialty "Soba Yakisoba" is a Kagoshima soul food that sells 200,000 servings a year. Please feel the chef's sincerity in this dish! It’s a bit similar to Hong Kong’s shredded pork fried noodles, but with more seafood! There was a lot of noodles, but I ate it all! They love to pair it with Chinese egg drop corn soup, but I usually drink it without this. This time I ordered steamed egg and parfait! It was a very pleasant meal.
