How long I've been waiting for this museum.

The Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) visit was the highlight of my trip to Egypt. Although it hasn't officially opened yet, some sections were in a pre-opening phase, allowing early access for visitors. The building itself is massive and features a modern design that contrasts yet harmonizes beautifully with the ancient artifacts. The Tutankhamun collection was particularly overwhelming, and it was much better organized compared to the old Cairo Museum, making it far more enjoyable to explore. Everything from the lighting, layout, to the explanatory panels was meticulously designed, making it great for photography as well. Above all, the location of the museum, set against the backdrop of the pyramids, was truly moving. Since it hasn't officially opened yet, there were fewer visitors, allowing for a quiet and peaceful tour. I felt it was absolutely worth visiting early, and if I ever return to Egypt, this museum will be the main reason. Location: Grand Egyptian Museum, Giza, Egypt
