Wat Pa Sawangboon

Wat Pa Sawang Boon is located in Kaeng Khoi District, Saraburi Province. It was built in 1985 by Luang Por Somchai Punyamano on an area of ​​over 400 rai. Inside the temple is a peaceful place, very suitable for meditation. Because the area behind is next to the foot of a mountain, the air is very cool. And there are many people who come to meditate on weekends. The highlight of Wat Pa Sawang Boon is the 500-spire pagoda, whose full name is "Phra Maha Rattana Loha Chedi Si Sasan Phothisat Sawang Boon". The main pagoda has a diameter of 50 meters, has 9 floors, and 500 surrounding pagodas. There is a large main pagoda in the center and smaller pagodas in descending order around the sides. There are four entrance arches at the four corners that are stairs leading up to the pagoda on top. The pagoda is made of beautiful, intricately molded stucco and coated in gold. All the inner walls of the main pagoda are decorated with ruby ​​glass all around beautifully. There are pictures of important pagodas throughout Thailand on top. Inside the pagoda, the relics of the Lord Buddha were brought from Nepal. India, Sri Lanka and the United Nations came together to enshrine all 500 spires of the Great Stupa, and also brought many sacred relics and valuable objects to worship and enshrine in the main stupa.
