One of the best Lok Lok place in JB!🍲πŸ₯¦πŸ–πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ»

Address: Ah Sheng Lok Lok, 36, Jln Permas 10/6, Bandar Baru Permas Jaya, 81750 Masai, Johor, Malaysia Ambiance: 3.5/5 Highlights: Lok Lok, Lala Claypot soup Avg. Price per Person: $10 Rating: 4/5 I recently saw on social media an increasing number of influencers recommend this lok lok place in Johor Bahru. JB has many lok lok places and many of them are not bad so was wondering why this place was so highly raved about. I tried it and am impressed. I like their style of deep frying which doesn’t leave the skewered food too dry and crispy. The lok lok are still juicy and tender after their grilling/frying process, like the broccoli and lady finger is crispy on the outside but still soft in the middle. Easy to eat and retains some of the original food’s taste unlike some lok lok places which cook them to a crisp. I realize I like this style of cooking better then the traditional overly crispy sort. Also, many influencers recommended the lala claypot soup, and yes you should try it! It’s very flavorful, a little spicy too if you can’t taste spicy please be aware. The number of lala in my small sized bowl was about 30-40. The menu has plenty of other cooked food too in addition to the lok lok on display if you feel like mixing it up! The fruit juices are freshly squeezed on demand too. The sauces were decent, although not the best I have had, I enjoyed their peanut sesame sauce the best. The shop was well ventilated and I didn’t have a BBQ smell on my clothes after leaving. There were plenty of seats, well spaced apart, and the shop was relatively clean too for JB standards. Lastly, the shop was in the vicinity of a durian shop and other eateries too so you can spend a lot of time in this area eating. Hahah. Do visit! #johor #urbanexplorer #foodie

Kam Long Ah Zai Curry Fish Head

Kam Long Curry Fish Head is a definite must-try spot when visiting Johor Bahru! The curry fish head is really a delicacy as the curry is thick and rich! Definitely recommended to try it at least once and would also highly recommend to add on more beancurd skin and vegetables! Really worth the extra pennies spent! However, queue would start forming as early as 11am so if you are alright with having an early lunch, try to go before 11am to avoid the queue. #urbanexplorer #foodie #本地遊
