Jiuzhaigou ❤️

Jiuzhaigou is a protected area in northern Sichuan Province, China. The highlight of Jiuzhaigou is the beautiful multi-tiered waterfalls and lakes, which made it a World Heritage Site in 1992. The name Jiuzhaigou is because in Chinese (Jiu = nine, Zhai = village, Gou = tributary or stream), they are collectively called the Nine Villages. This is because Jiuzhaigou originally had nine Tibetan villages living along these streams. Since Tibetans worship mountains and streams, “Jiuzhaigou” is therefore revered by Tibetans as a sacred mountain and stream. “Jiuzhaigou” has a very natural environment and ecosystem.
