This is the hardest mountain to climb in Shijiazhuang

Originally, I planned to hike Baodu Village Tiankeng today, but upon arrival, I found the trail blocked by branches—clearly not passable. So I turned around and headed to Maotou Village, which wasn't too far away. I remember searching for this route a long time ago—it's close but not very well-known. After hiking it, I realized why it's not famous! This little adventure left me full of scratches. So far, this is the toughest mountain I've climbed in Shijiazhuang. There are multiple ascent routes—I saw options from Caoma Village, Liangzhongchang, or Nanfangkou Village. At the summit, there's a karst cave locals call "Fairy Cave," though I didn’t get to see it. 2. The first kilometer is manageable, with no major challenges. The yellow chaste trees are blooming with tiny purple flowers. In fall, you can pick persimmons or buy mountain walnuts. 3. Beyond that, the trail becomes unclear, overgrown with fresh thorns. This path is better suited for winter when branches are brittle and easier to clear. Near the summit, the route fades entirely—I turned back when it became impassable. Missed the cave too. Enough talk—time to pull out these thorns!
