The most worthwhile free museum in Jingdezhen

Nestled among the lush mountains and rivers of Jiangxi Province, lies a treasure trove of ceramics—the Jingdezhen China Ceramic Museum. This museum is not only the earliest professional museum of ceramic art established after the founding of the People's Republic of China, but also a national first-class museum, carrying the glorious history and cultural heritage of the porcelain capital. The museum houses approximately 20,000 pieces of exquisite ceramics produced in Jingdezhen during different historical periods, including more than 500 pieces of national treasures. The museum exhibits include five-dynasty celadon and white porcelain; Song dynasty celadon and white porcelain; Yuan dynasty blue and white porcelain, egg white porcelain, and underglaze red porcelain; Ming dynasty blue and white porcelain, five-color porcelain, doucai (doucai), and various colored glaze porcelain; and dozens of types of exquisite ceramics from the Qing dynasty.
