A Day Trip to Spring City Jinan: Look This Way!

Jinan is known as the City of Springs. After watching the TV series "Beauty of the North," I longed for this famous Chinese city even more. In this spring season of blooming flowers, I made a special trip to Jinan. In one day, I was able to fully appreciate the charm of the City of Springs. As everyone knows, Jinan has four famous springs: Baotu Spring, Black Tiger Spring, Five Dragon Pool Spring, and Pearl Spring. The spring water converges into lakes and flows into Daming Lake. Stop 1: Baotu Spring, the representative of gurgling springs. It is the most famous of Jinan's 72 springs and a symbol of the City of Springs. As the saying goes, "It is a wasted trip to Jinan if you don't visit Baotu Spring." Thanks to the beautiful weather and scenery, I was in a good mood as I strolled through Baotu Spring. With each step, there was a new view. Following the direction of the spring water, I admired Worry-Free Spring, Zhanlu Spring, and Wangshui Spring. Before I knew it, I arrived at Wanzhu Garden, which was first built in the Yuan Dynasty and is a national key cultural relics protection unit. The park contains historical and cultural venues such as the Li Kuchan Memorial Hall, the Yi'an Former Residence (Li Qingzhao Memorial Hall), and the Wang Xuetao Memorial Hall, all of which I visited. The core scenic spot of Baotu Spring was surrounded by tourists. I finally managed to move to the front and gazed at the magical spring that flows continuously throughout the four seasons. I entered the "flow" state of psychology and felt very happy! Stop 2: Ring-the-City Park. Coming out of the Baotu Spring Scenic Area, there is a park surrounded by springs called Ring-the-City Park. The stone tablet of the "May 3rd Street" site attracted my attention. The time was set on May 3, 1928, when the invading Japanese army wantonly killed 6,123 Chinese soldiers and civilians, known as the Jinan Massacre. This is a place to remember history. Stop 3: Spring City Square. It faces the main entrance of the Baotu Spring Scenic Area. The symbol of the Spring City surrounding the square is particularly eye-catching and has been awarded the title of "International Art Square" by UNESCO. Stop 4: Black Tiger Spring. Next, continue walking from Spring City Square towards Black Tiger Spring. Along the way, you will pass Jin Hu Spring, Yihu Spring, Wulian Spring, and Pipa Spring. With the beautiful scenery of the springs, walking is very easy. Stop 5: Daming Lake - the Pearl of the City of Springs. People love Daming Lake not only because it is a famous spring lake in China, but also because it has a rich historical and cultural atmosphere. Many literati and poets have named it. Li Bai, Du Fu, Su Shi, Pu Songling and other great writers once roamed here and left poems. In the bright spring sunshine, the green weeping willows by the lake are like beautiful curtains. Strolling along the lake, I felt refreshed and enjoyed the beauty. Be sure to spend 10 coins to take a boat to the island in the lake, where there is a famous pavilion with a charming charm - Lixia Pavilion. Du Fu once left the poem: "This pavilion is ancient on the right of the sea, and there are many famous people in Lixia." There are too many historical stories here, which can be described in one sentence: the epitome of Jinan for thousands of years. Stop 6: Qushuiting Street. Opposite Daming Lake is Qushuiting Street, a historical and cultural street with Ming and Qing architectural styles. The spring water surrounds the old houses. Strolling here, it feels like returning to the old Jinan's urban life. Tourists are vying to take photos and check in, and taste the food, making it even more beautiful!
