|The unique landscape under Baofu Rock. Mianshan Yunfeng Temple, formerly known as Baofu Temple, was named after the Baofu Rock on which it was built. Baofu Rock is shaped like two hands embracing a belly. It is about 60 meters high, 50 meters deep and 180 meters long. It is divided into two layers, embracing more than 200 palaces and pavilions in its "belly" and is praised as "unique in the world." Fu Shan, a great scholar in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, left a couplet when he traveled to Mianshan, praising it: "I have seen many famous mountains, but none with a stone like this suspended in the air, formed like a cassock, a round cover in all directions; looking at the towering Buddha statue, it is the true god that has appeared; through cultivation, the three flowers will gather at the top of the head, and the five qi will return to the origin." This vividly depicts the peculiarity of Baofu Rock, which is unique in the world. There are three stone Buddha halls on the 60 steps behind the Kongwang Hall of Yunfeng Temple. All the brackets, beams, and window towers are stone carvings. It is the oldest building in the temple. The statue of Living Buddha Kongwang in the hall is a real body covered with bones, according to the inscription on the 13th stele of Ming Wang De. Tian Zhichao, the King of Emptiness Buddha, was the first Han Chinese to attain Buddhahood. He is also the one with the oldest history among the 15 existing genuine Buddha relics in Mianshan.
