Marriott Qingdao Jiaozhou: Suite Experience Upgrade

My room faces west, so it's super sunny in the afternoon. You can see it in the light and shadows in the pictures. It must be super hot in the summer. The lake view outside the window is not bad, but there is a large construction site, so it's hard to say. The design of the cloakroom is very interesting, like a whole passage, and the guest bathroom is also separated into inner and outer areas. 🚌 The transportation is indeed a pain point. It is really inconvenient without a car. This is my second stay. There are many Korean tour groups, and this time I also met a tour group from Taiwan. 🍹 The view from the lounge on the 22nd floor is of the lake + the approach to Qingdao Airport's runway. Airplanes fly by from time to time. The lounge used to be open 24 hours, but now it has been changed to 13:00–21:00. Afternoon tea includes 4 kinds of fruit and 3 kinds of desserts, and is served from 2pm to 4pm. Happy Hour starts at 5:30pm. On the day I was there, there were five hot dishes: saury, pork collar, bell pepper and eggs, Chinese cabbage stewed with tempura, and spring rolls. There were four cold dishes, vegetable salad, fruit, and desserts. As far as Marriott lounges go, this is above average. I personally think the desserts are pretty good. There are still only two kinds of alcohol: Absolut and Smirnoff, and the beer is Qingdao. 🍔 Many reviews say that the breakfast is not very good. How should I put it? It has everything it should have, but there are indeed fewer varieties. If I had to give a comment, I would say it's somewhere between a Fairfield breakfast and a normal Marriott breakfast. I'm not a VIP, so I can definitely get full. 🍜 There are wide noodles and green vegetable noodles. I give the pork and mushroom wontons a score of 95.
