Visit Ancient Jiang'an in Yibin - Xijiashan Residence 1. Xijiashan Residence in Jiang'an County is a national 4A-level scenic area and a national key cultural relic protection unit. 2. Xijiashan Residence is a typical landlord manor in southern Sichuan. It was first built by the Xi family in the Ming Dynasty, and was continuously renovated and expanded by the Huang family from Jiangxia, Huguang, who moved to Sichuan during the Qing Dynasty. It reached its current scale during the Republic of China. 3. Xijiashan Residence is well-preserved and is known as the "living fossil of folk architecture in southern Sichuan." It is a three-entry, four-courtyard-style residence with 11 patios and over 100 rooms. It features high walls, deep courtyards, flying eaves, and black tiles. Outside, there are solid stone walls and stone watchtowers at the four corners. Inside, there are various living buildings, including a theater, sedan chair room, stable, garden, clinic, pharmacy, and more. The layout is rigorous, with a clear distinction between primary and secondary areas, and an orderly arrangement of open and closed spaces. Admission is free.
