This century-old ancient bridge in Dayang Town captivates at first sight Beside the main road in Xinyuan Village, Dayang Town, lies Qingyun Bridge, a place that makes you feel "it was worth the visit" at first glance. Its story began in the 12th year of the Jiaqing reign in the Qing Dynasty (1807). Although it was destroyed by a mountain flood in the 2nd year of the Xianfeng reign (1852), it was preserved through reconstruction, becoming a "survivor" of time. This semicircular single-arch stone bridge is no ordinary structure: it spans east to west across Dayang Creek and was once an important route from Yanzhou Prefecture to Wucheng. The name "Qingyun Bridge" carries a beautiful wish, hoping scholars would "rise straight to the clouds." The bridge is 14 meters long, 4.5 meters wide, and 8.6 meters high, with 10 steps on each side. The three characters "Qingyun Bridge" in regular script carved in relief on the bridge plaque exude an ancient and powerful charm. What’s even more wonderful is the harmony between the ancient bridge and nature—the exquisite stone arch rests over clear creek water, with three ancient camphor trees standing robustly beside the bridge.
