Forest Trails and Heroic Views in Wanju

#summervacay Took a chill hike up Janggunbong Peak in Wanju and it was such a cool mix of peaceful forest and epic mountain energy. The trail kicks off under this thick canopy of trees, all shady and quiet, perfect for zoning out and just walking. The path is pretty well-kept, not too steep, but still gives your legs a little challenge now and then. As you climb higher, the views start peeking through the trees, rolling mountains, scattered villages, and that fresh, wide-open sky. The peak itself has this cool rugged feel, with rocks and wind and a solid view that makes the climb totally worth it. There’s a little monument up top that gives off those “mountain guardian” vibes, pretty fitting for a place called Janggunbong, aka “General Peak.” Hung out at the top for a bit, snacked, took a deep breath, and just soaked it all in. Super peaceful. If you’re into lowkey hikes with high-reward views, Wanju’s Janggunbong is a solid pick.
