A Radiant Tangerine-Hued Day: A Journey to Jeju Island

Jeju Island always feels familiar, yet it offers new memories every time. This trip was as gentle as the early summer breeze and as refreshing as tangerines. ⸻ 🍵 O'Sulloc Tea Museum – A Morning Filled with the Aroma of Tea Arriving early at the O'Sulloc Tea Museum, I was greeted by the subtle scent of green tea as soon as I stepped inside. Taking a bite of matcha ice cream, I gazed at the green fields and exhaled slowly. The vast tea plantations and the blue sky stretched out like a picture-perfect postcard. "This place feels like another Kyoto within Jeju." That thought came naturally. ⸻ 🏖 Hyeopjae Beach – A Sea as Clear as Blue Glass Leaving O'Sulloc and driving to Hyeopjae Beach, the sunlight scattered across the sand. The water touching my toes was clear and cool, while surfers floated on their boards atop the sea. Lying on a mat and gazing at the sky, I almost fell asleep. It was that serene, that peaceful. Closing my eyes, the sound of the waves felt like they were cleansing my soul. ⸻ 🌿 Aewol – A Blend of Driving and Sentiment The coastal road from Hyeopjae to Aewol is practically made for driving. Rolling down the windows and letting the music flow, I felt my heart lighten. Aewol is dotted with charming cafes. Every spot seems like a photo zone, and even a cup of coffee feels special in this town. ⸻ 🍊 Tangerine Mochi – A Jeju-Style Finale Before heading back to the accommodation, I stumbled upon tangerine mochi at a small tangerine farm. The chewy rice cake filled with sweet tangerine jam made me feel like I was tasting Jeju itself. I bought a few more as souvenirs, but half of them were gone by the time I was on the flight home. ⸻ 📍Jeju, and Why I’ll Return Again Sunshine, wind, tangerines, and me within it all.
