Is the Ghibli Park Worth Visiting?

The answer is: Yes, it's worth it! However, make sure to get the premium tickets. If you can't secure them, it's better to wait until you can. 🚃 Transportation: We stayed at the Nagoya Marriott Hotel and chose either a direct bus or subway to get there, which takes about an hour. If you choose the direct bus, pay attention to the departure times as there aren't many. 🎫 Tickets: There are three types of tickets: Stroll Ticket, Premium Ticket, and Premium Grand Stroll Ticket, which you need to book two months in advance. We bought 2 adults and 1 child Premium Grand Stroll Ticket through a third-party service for ¥1700, which allows access to all themed areas. 🔍 Tips: ▪️ Confirm the entry time for the Grand Warehouse when purchasing tickets. It's best to choose the earliest time slot as there are fewer people, and you won't have to wait long for photos. ▪️ Reserve 2+ hours for the Grand Warehouse, as there are many details worth seeing. There's also a children's play area that kids will love. ▪️ After entering the Grand Warehouse, exchange your movie ticket to watch exclusive films in the theater. We watched the Totoro session, which had a touching new storyline. ▪️ The longest queue in the Grand Warehouse is for photos with No-Face, but similar scenes are common in other places, so it's not worth the wait. ▪️ The store in the Grand Warehouse has many unique items not found in the city. The Tokoname milk and red bean bread at the entrance are delicious! ▪️ For lunch, it's recommended to buy food at the food court outside the Grand Warehouse, where there are fewer queues and plenty of options. Try the eel rice! ▪️ After exploring the Grand Warehouse, we went to the "Valley of the Witch," which includes Howl's Moving Castle, Kiki's House, the Witch's House, and Sophie's Hat Shop. The details are impressive, but photography is only allowed outside. ▪️ After "Valley of the Witch," you can take the Cat Bus at the nearby ticket machine. It's highly recommended! The driver will take a group photo before boarding, and you'll receive a commemorative ticket. The ride to "Dondoko Totoro's Forest" is peaceful and unique to the Cat Bus route. ▪️ "Dondoko Totoro's Forest" features Mei's House, which is a 100% accurate recreation, down to the slippers at the entrance. The attention to detail is truly moving.
