Nagoya Zoo Exhibits Five Tsushima Leopard Cat Cubs

Starting August 27, the Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens in Nagoya's Chikusa Ward is showcasing five adorable Tsushima leopard cat cubs. These lively cubs can be seen running around, playing in the water, and frolicking with each other, capturing the hearts of visitors. The Tsushima leopard cat is a national natural monument of Japan, found only on Tsushima Island in Nagasaki Prefecture, and is classified as an endangered species, making it a rare and precious feline. The cubs have been growing rapidly; from an initial weight of about 100 grams at birth, they now weigh around 1.4 kilograms each.
