Take the Sunrise Izumo sleeper express to Izumo Taisha Shrine

I took the Sunrise Izumo, currently Japan's only sleeper express train, to Izumo Taisha Shrine in Izumo City, Shimane Prefecture. I arrived in Izumo City the next morning, comfortably travelling in a hotel-like carriage without any transfers from Tokyo. I visited Izumo Taisha Shrine, famous for its god of matchmaking, and enjoyed its famous Izumo soba and Izumo zenzai.
