A Different Osaka Trip - One-Day Tour in Izumisano

Izumisano City is located in the Quanzhou area in the southern part of Osaka Prefecture. Osaka's gateway, Kansai International Airport, is located on an artificial island in Izumisano City. I was very curious about it, so I thought of taking a day trip there. Just in time, a good friend of mine also wanted to relax, so I took him on this healing one-day trip, which we named the Izumisano Classic One-Day Tour. That Saturday morning, we departed from JR Tennoji Station in Osaka City, took the 9:57 JR Hanwa Line Kansai-Airport Rapid Train, and got off at Hineno Station. At the square in front of the station, transfer to the 10:51 Nankai Bus Inunaki Line 723 and arrive at Osaka's secret place, Japan's holy place for spiritual practice, Inunakiyama, at 11:14. I advise my friends to fill their stomachs before going out for fun. So we found an unexpectedly good shop called Sora on the approach to Shippo Taki-ji Temple, about a 5-minute walk from the station. The space is not big and looks shabby, but it is very clean and the toilet is western-style. The sky is located beside the stream, surrounded by the new green of early summer. You can hear the gurgling stream and the singing of birds. It really blends well with nature. While enjoying the luxury of nature that is not available in the city, we savored the set meals we ordered. Mine was the Inunaki pork grilled with ginger, and his was the deep-fried free-range chicken. The taste is absolutely delicious, and I believe it is the work of a good chef hidden here. It is really a good shop to come back for this purpose. After lunch, we return to our tour. We walked along the smooth mountain road to get close to nature. My friend said that this place has more wildness than the mountain road to Minoo Waterfall, but it is not difficult to walk. There are big rocks, small bridges, various plants, and waterfalls. You won’t feel bored and there is a sense of exploration. I told him that after all, this is a Japanese heritage, part of Katsuragi Shugendo. We walked and talked, and in about 30 minutes, we arrived at Qibaotang Temple. Legend has it that Emperor Junwa traveled around to pray for rain due to the severe drought. After he came here and prayed to the main deity, Acala, it really rained, benefiting the Quanzhou area. Emperor Junna named it Shippo Takiji Temple because there were seven waterfalls and seven treasures such as gold and silver in Inunaki Mountain. This is also a very popular place for spiritual practice in Japan, especially for waterfall spiritual practice, which requires reservations in advance. After visiting Qibaolong Temple, we returned to the station along the same route. Take the 14:50 bus back to JR Hineno Station (or go to Izumisano Station on the Nankai Railway), and change trains for one stop to Rinku Station. After a 5-minute walk, he and I arrived at the AQUAIGNIS Quanzhou Hot Spring. Here you can soak in hot springs while watching the sea and watching large airplanes take off and land. It is a rare place for leisure. Although it was the weekend, there were not many guests and it was very comfortable. Finally, I took my friends to Rinku Park to watch the sea and enjoy the sunset. The park is built along the coast, opposite Kansai Airport. Not many people know about it. It is especially suitable for taking family, couples, and friends for a walk, chat and forget about worries. After the sun set, I went shopping at the Rinku Outlets Mall with my friends for a while, ending our happy day trip. Because the whole journey is not special forces-style, it is not tiring and does not cost much. I guarantee that it is a very cost-effective one-day tour. You can try to imitate it.
