[Tottori Prefecture] Beautiful marine blue like those overseas! "Uradome Coast"

About 10km northeast from the Tottori Sand Dunes along the bay coastline, Uradome Coast in Iwami Town, located at the northeastern tip of Tottori Prefecture, is a ria coast stretching about 15km from east to west, and with its complex topography, small islands of all sizes, and marine blue sea, it is one of Tottori's most scenic spots, like a painting reminiscent of Matsushima. I was honestly surprised at how beautiful the sea on the Japan Sea side of Tottori was! The clear tropical marine blue is comparable to the ocean of the tropics. By the way, this Uradome Coast is listed in a number of prestigious scenic spots, including: ■ San'in Kaigan National Park ■ 100 Views of Japan ■ 100 Best White Sand and Green Pine Coasts in Japan ■ 100 Best Beaches in Japan ■ 100 Best Tourist Sites in Japan during the Heisei Era ■ San'in Kaigan Geopark It is supposedly a hiking trail from Ajiro Port on the western end to Kamogaiso on the east, but when I visited in July 2021, there were spider webs everywhere and it was full of weeds, making it difficult to walk... It is unclear whether it was the off-season or if it just so happened to be before cleaning, but the views glimpsed from key points were full of spectacular views. At the "Shirowara Kaigan" observation deck in a corner of the eastern end of Uradome Coast, there was a memorable photo spot with a punning dad joke, "Take a photo!", which is typical of Tottori Prefecture. #tripDomesticTravel #TottoriPrefecture #Breathtaking views #Seaside views
