Gojo River Iwakura (Cherry Blossom Festival)🌸

The Gojo River is a grade A river that flows through Oguchi-cho, Konan City, and Iwakura City in western Aichi Prefecture. It originates from Tajimi City in Gifu Prefecture. The Iwakura Cherry Blossom Festival is held during cherry blossom season. The cherry trees converging on both sides of the river are a beautiful sight, and the river has been selected as one of the "Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots in Japan". In addition, there are important events during the Iwakura Cherry Blossom Festival, such as the parade of floats and the performance of "Nonbori Arai", where the glue used to make the patterns of carp streamers is washed away in the river, making the place crowded with people.
