[Shizuoka] Izu Shaboten Zoo: Interact with animals without any sense of distance!

Izu Cactus Zoo is known for its wild animals, even more than its namesake, the rare cacti! The animals are mostly free-roaming, allowing you to interact with a variety of animals, including capybaras, ring-tailed lemurs, squirrel monkeys, and peacocks, without any physical contact. There are over 140 species of animals in the zoo. There are approximately 1,500 species of cacti and succulents. The zoo also has a wide selection of souvenir shops and restaurants. There's also a Fujimidai viewing platform offering panoramic views of Mt. Fuji. Dogs are allowed in the zoo on leashes.
