K's House Ito Onsen: A stay surrounded by nostalgia and warmth, nestled next to the murmuring of the river

Ito K's House Ito Onsen: A stay surrounded by nostalgia and warmth, nestled alongside the murmuring of a river A seven-minute walk from Ito Station, K's House Ito Onsen is a renovated historic inn nestled alongside the Matsukawa River. Entering the stately wooden building, guests are greeted by tatami-floored private rooms, a shared lounge, and charming corridors, evoking a sense of "good old Japanese lodging" with every step. At night, soaking in the 100% natural hot spring water, drawn directly from the source, allowed the fatigue of travel to slowly melt away. Sleeping on tatami mats and waking to the tranquility of the riverside in the morning, truly fulfilled my traveler's spirit. The friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere of this traditional Japanese hotel made for a relaxing stay. I was also surprised by the flexible self-catering environment and great value for money, making my two-day stay a spiritual retreat. ⸻ 🏯 Building and Atmosphere • A Registered Tangible Cultural Property, renovated from a former inn with approximately 100 years of history • A relaxing space with the scent of tatami and wood, riverside views, and tranquility ♨ Hot Springs • Natural hot spring water directly from the source (available 24 hours a day) • Separate baths for men and women and private baths 🛏 Room Types • Dormitories and private rooms available • Riverside view rooms are especially popular ⸻ 🎒 Recommended Items to Bring • Yukata or loungewear: The building is made of tatami and wood, so relaxing wear is comfortable. • Folding umbrella: Ito is by the sea, so the weather can change quickly. • Towel for bathing: Useful if you plan to visit the nearby outdoor baths and hot spring town. • Slippers: While slippers are available in the building, we recommend bringing your own. • Camera or smartphone: This registered tangible cultural property has many photogenic spots inside. ⸻ 🚶 Combine with nearby sightseeing • Nagisa Park & Orange Beach (10-minute walk): Enjoy a stroll along the waterfront and sunsets • Tokaikan (5-minute walk): A former inn from the early Showa period, with tours and foot baths • Ito Marine Town (10-minute bus ride): Enjoy local cuisine, souvenirs, and seaside hot springs • Komuroyama Ridge Walk "MISORA" (15-minute car ride): Spectacular ocean and Mt. Fuji views • Jogasaki Coast and Kadowaki Suspension Bridge (approx. 30 minutes by train and bus): Stroll along the dramatic coastline ⸻ 📌 Summary K's House Ito Onsen offers a base for your stay, combining the charm of a traditional hot spring inn with the casualness of a hostel. Enjoy the hot springs and historical architecture while exploring the surrounding sea, mountains, and hot spring towns to make your trip to Izu even more fulfilling. #SummerVacation #TokyoTrip #VacationTrip #DomesticTravelTactics #MyTravelPlan #SummerVacationTrip #SeasonalOverseasPlaces #OverseasTravelTactics #OverseasTravel #AbsolutelyFreeTravel #CommentCircle

K's House Ito Onsen - Historical Ryokan Hostel

K's House Ito Onsen is by far the best staycation I've ever had. It is a century-old Ryokan located in Ito City in the Izu Peninsula, Shizuoka. It is very traditional that I felt like I time-traveled back to the 1890s. They also have a state-of-the-art Onsen facility. They have the best view of the river and the pine trees by their terraces sends you a very relaxing feeling in the morning. Totally a recommended stay! #staycation#tripinspired#happynewyear
