Recommended Izu hot spring hotels.

On this trip, I stayed at two different hot spring hotels. One was the Kamenoi Hotel (P7-P15) located on the Izu Plateau. The hotel is new, the lobby is beautiful and photogenic, and the standard rooms are not Japanese-style. The room view is average. The breakfast is buffet-style, and the dinner is kaiseki cuisine, but to be honest, the taste is average. The hotel's lobby bar offers free ice cream, and the restaurant offers late-night ramen. I didn't try it because I was too full. There is an open-air hot spring, but the pool is small and there are many Chinese people. The most healing moment was after soaking in the hot spring, lying on a lounge chair outside the hotel lobby and admiring the moon. I lay there quietly for an hour, watching the moon shuttle through the clouds. I think I will remember this moment for a long time. The other hotel is Atami Onsen Tsutaya (P1-P6). The rooms are standard Japanese-style tatami rooms. Compared to Kamenoi, it is older, but it is still very well maintained. The room has a great sea view. As soon as we entered the room, we started to wow. We could stay in the room all day. The front desk provides beautiful yukatas, and the open-air hot spring pool is also super awesome. There was no one when we went, it was a private bath, and the design was very tasteful. The hot spring pool that needs to be reserved and paid for is not expensive. And! The dinner and breakfast are super awesome, very delicious, Izu specialty alfonsino, abalone, sashimi, raw beef, etc. are all arranged. After eating, I had a cup of coffee in the lobby on the first floor, it was perfect. In this hotel, we really didn't think of taking pictures, because we were just in a daze, it was so comfortable! Both hotels are awesome, but if I recommend it, Atami Onsen Tsutaya is more authentic and more Japanese. I started to miss it as soon as I left. The beauty of Izu really exceeded expectations, and it was a perfect sunny journey. I will come again

Kadowaki Suspension Bridge

When most people think of Izu, hot springs and the seaside are the first things that come to mind. However, autumn actually offers a more soothing feeling, reminiscent of a mountain town. This is especially true when you walk to Ito City's Kadowaki Suspension Bridge, where you can admire the lake, modern buildings, and distant mountain scenery under the clear autumn sky. This itinerary is perfect for those seeking a relaxing escape from the city life. 🌳 Highlights: Ito City Stroll + Kadowaki Suspension Bridge I absolutely recommend a visit to the Kadowaki Suspension Bridge! Located in Izu City, the address is 842-65 Futo, Itō, Shizuoka 413-0231, Japan. Open year-round, you can experience the unique atmosphere of a mountain town any time of year. During the clear, crisp autumn skies, the walk offers breathtaking views of the river, distant mountains, and lakes, making it a perfect spot for photo opportunities. 🍂 Kadowaki Suspension Bridge: This aerial walk is beautiful in all seasons, but autumn is particularly captivating. A suspension bridge spans the valley, flanked by lush forests and a turquoise lake. Stepping on the wooden planks, gazing at the river below, and breathing in the fresh air—work stresses instantly melt away. Rainy days create a sense of tranquility, akin to a Japanese town, creating stunning photos. 🏞️ Scenery: The entire route offers panoramic views of modern architecture, vibrant foliage, rolling mountains, and the cultural landscape of the small town. Whether sunny or rainy, the scenery is unique. Every time I visit, I feel as if time has slowed down—a must-do for those who enjoy nature and tranquility! 📸 Photography Tips 1. Autumn leaves are vibrant, so visiting in the morning or evening is recommended for softer light, allowing for more natural photos. 2. When taking scenic photos from the suspension bridge, follow the bridge toward the distant mountains and lake for stunning shots. 3. Even if it's rainy, don't be too disappointed; mist and water vapor will add a touch of drama to your photos. 🚌 Getting There From Ito Station, take a bus directly to the area near Kadowaki Suspension Bridge. From there, it's a 5-10 minute walk. Driving is convenient, so park in the adjacent parking lot. 🧀 Dining Recommendations There are several local eateries and cafes nearby. I recommend the small town cafe across the bridge for Japanese sweets and pour-over coffee. The autumn-exclusive chestnut and pumpkin cakes are especially perfect against the mountain views! 🤍 Itinerary Tips (Real Experience Version) Physicality: The trails around Kadowaki Suspension Bridge are relatively flat, making a leisurely walk less tiring. However, it's recommended to wear comfortable sneakers and bring a scarf to accommodate the temperature swings between morning and evening in autumn. Weather: Sunny days offer the best photography, while rainy days offer a unique atmosphere. If you're planning to take photos or vlog, remember to protect yourself from moisture. Photography: The area around the suspension bridge offers a wealth of scenery, from distant views of buildings to close-ups of the lake and the autumn colors of the forest. #IzuSlowTour #KadowakiSuspensionBridgeCheck-in #AutumnTravel #ItoNaturalBeauty #JapaneseSlowLife
