#celebrateit The Dolmabahce Palace is located in the new city area of Istanbul, along the Bosphorus Strait. The palace was built in the 19th century by Abdulmejid I, the 31st Ottoman emperor, and is strongly influenced by Western architecture, a combination of Baroque and Ottoman styles. The exterior is covered with marble, and the interior of the palace is lined with luxurious furnishings reminiscent of a European royal palace. The 285 rooms in the palace are all decorated with different themes and boast the beauty of a work of art. In particular, the world's largest baccarate chandelier during the ceremony is a masterpiece, with more than 750 candles lit and a weight of 4.5 tons.
