Take a boat trip on an ancient boat and sing folk songs at Gelbikei

Gelbikei George is located in Ichinoseki, Iwate Prefecture, Tohoku Region, Japan. Travel by train from Sendai Station to Geibikei Station, it takes about 1 hour, then walk about 500 meters to the ticket booth to board the boat. The boat takes 90 minutes to sail. It is the only boat cruise in Japan that uses people to row the boat. The entire boat is meticulously hand-built. While sailing, the boatman will sing folk songs, mixed with the sounds of insects, birds and wind, to bring us closer to nature. #discoveryourownjapan #japantohoku #iwate
