Vatnajokull National Park

Vatnajokull National Park is the largest national park in Iceland, established in 2008, with a total area of about 14,000 square kilometers. It is located in southeastern Iceland and includes the Vatnajokull glacier and surrounding mountains, volcanoes, lakes, glaciers, waterfalls and other natural landscapes. Vatnajokull is one of the largest ice caps in Europe, covering more than a third of Iceland.
