Huacachina, a desert oasis

Huacachina is an oasis town in the desert about 5 hours by bus from Lima, the capital of Peru. Resort hotels and restaurants are lined up around a lake that is left alone in the desert, and the view from the top of the sand dunes is truly an oasis. Activities include sandboarding and driving up the desert in a jeep. Huacachina is about a 15-minute drive from the town of Ica in Peru. Restaurants, stylish cafes and inns are lined up around the lake in the depression of the sand dunes, creating a resort atmosphere even though it is surrounded by sand. #Peru #Huacachina #Oasis
