Huzhou Day Tour

Huzhou is located south of Taihu Lake. After arriving at the hotel, I turned on the air conditioner. The temperature dropped today, and it felt colder than Beijing. There is a local restaurant next to the hotel called Lao Han Restaurant, where I tried the steamed fish, which was very delicious. The stewed chicken, eel paste, and green beans with pickles were also very tasty. Day tour itinerary: Huzhou Museum. I have to say, Huzhou Museum is amazing! It starts with "Ode to Wuxing" and Zhao Mengfu's calligraphy. It showcases the land of fish and rice, Huzhou. The museum is quite large, although it is basically just one floor. There are many exhibits, and they are very detailed. Huzhou has so much to offer, such as the land of fish and rice, the silk capital, outstanding people, merchants, and scholars. The museum is definitely worth a visit. Lotus Park is another park worth visiting. It has Zhao Mengfu's calligraphy and the Lotus Peak, a Taihu stone shaped like a lotus flower. Actually, I couldn't see the lotus shape, but the Taihu stone itself is very beautiful! The rockery, greenery, lake, bridge, and pavilion are all very exquisite. Yishang Street and Zhuangyuan Street have many memorial halls of famous people from the past. I selectively visited the Shen Jiaben Memorial Hall and the Niu Fubao Zhuangyuan Building. The Shen Jiaben Memorial Hall, in particular, has a rich collection of exhibits and beautiful calligraphy and paintings on display. Huzhou truly deserves its reputation as a famous city. In the afternoon, I went to Taihu Ancient Town in Changxing County. Although it is an artificial ancient town, it is very beautiful and nice to stroll around. There weren't many people, but it was too cold today. I took a short walk, skipped the fireworks and iron flower show in the evening, and went to the lakeside to see the lake view. I ended my Huzhou day tour early.
