Travel around the Maldives Atoll, originally at The Standard, a US brand This trip to the Maldives was quite sudden, because of my friend Ellen's invitation. I flew from Bangkok to Male and didn't expect to have not visited any place except for Male, the smallest capital in the world. I traveled to all the islands from north to south and stayed for a month. The delicate white sandy beach and the azure sky enjoy the gorgeous sunset every day, tasting rare ingredients from all over the world. However, I don't know if it's the chef's taste buds or the cooking methods that are more suitable for Westerners, but none of the meals make me give a thumbs up. Until I moved into The Standard. This is an American brand, with two rows of colorful cabins, as if building a fairy tale world. This place is especially suitable for a family or a group of friends to travel together. Choose a water villa with two rooms, equipped with all-white snorkeling equipment in the room. You can have a party in the balcony pool together or play in the sea together by jumping from the handrail on the side. The first meal is Maldivian traditional cuisine called Guduguda, which is an onomatopoeic word for the sound of water being drawn for smoking shisha. We sat on the beach, candles lit, champagne poured, from lobster to tuna, from beef to chicken, served on DEGRENE tableware from Paris, seasoned with coconut milk and various spices, the curry was full of exotic flavors. The second meal is the best sunset restaurant at the end of the island. The roof is full of bamboo lampshades, and from sashimi to beef to sushi, dishes are served one by one until the stars fill the sky. A star hangs under the crescent moon, making it incredibly romantic. The third meal is Chinese food, a table of Chinese food specially made by the chef of a Japanese restaurant. Although it is not at all the cooking method and taste of Chinese food, the spicy taste of the beef soup that night was still satisfying enough. The only thing that was not satisfying was the breakfast here, so I ordered the floating breakfast and had fun playing in the room pool while eating. Days at TheStandard feel so leisurely and carefree, where you can wear pajamas or swimsuits, ride bicycles and daydream between the beach and restaurants. In the room, you can see small sharks and Ray, and you can also ask the hotel to arrange a boat trip to the sea. Within 20 minutes of snorkeling, you can see the beautiful scenery comparable to the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. Hold onto a peaceful tranquility, and guard a serene heart. This is my last stop in the Maldives, and also the last day of this month. Next, I will return to Thailand and stay at The Standard in Hua Hin and Bangkok. Looking forward to it.
